GATEWAY CHRISTIAN CHURCH AND FAITH COMMUNITY
CHURCH ARE UNIFYING TO BECOME ONE NEW CHURCH
The pastors and leaders of Gateway Christian Church and Faith Community Church are excited to announce that we are moving forward with the process of officially unifying the two congregations into one new Church.
The leadership of both churches had been seeking God about this for over a year, and felt one final step was to validate God’s guidance through the affirmation of both congregations. With over 95% affirming yes, we know God has made this clear that we are better together.
There are still several legal steps for our leadership teams to handle to make it official, and we will keep the congregations updated as necessary.
We will continue to update this page as we work through the process, so check back often. We are so excited to see God at work and how we can better impact our community together!
OUR NEW CHURCH NAME!
The root behind Waypoint Church multi-faceted and inspired by 3 powerful scriptures:
John 14:6, John 13:34-35 and 1 Corinthians 11:1.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We point the way to Jesus by loving others the way He loves us.
The definition of a waypoint is that they are reference points that helps us know where we are and where we’re going. And our dream is that together, we will each become waypoints guiding to the way to Jesus by living and loving like Him.
We are still operating as Gateway Christian Church until we finish the legal steps to become Waypoint Church. We will certainly communicate when changes are official.

Q: Do I need to change how I give?
A: For now, please continue tithing/giving how you have been. Keep writing checks out to Gateway Christian Church or Faith Community Church. We will be sure to communicate clearly when the time comes to change how you give, and how to do that.
Q: Who will be the teaching pastor?
A: We will have a teaching team led by Pastor Randy. The primary teachers will be Pastor Mike and Pastor Randy, but our other pastors will also be a part of the teaching team.
Q: Will the new church be a part of a denomination?
A: Waypoint Church will operate as a non-denominational Christian church.
Q: Who will be the lead pastor?
A: The reality is both Gateway Christian Church and Faith Community church have operated with the plurality of Pastors to lead our churches for a number of years. Waypoint Church will function the same.
